This project shows you how to create a wireless virtual office with local peer-to-peer networking and VOIP. This project is suitable for a SOHO installation and telecommuting. You can connect wirelessly to all your normal resources, including the phone, while you sit in your easy chair.

1 SOHO Router and hub, plus cables

1 Wireless AP

1 Networked desktop PC

ANSWER: Windows Server 2003, Web Edition, provides a cost-effective platform for the four Web applica­tion servers. However, Web Edition will not support enterprise applications like SQL Server; the edition of MSDE included with Web Edition allows only 25 concurrent connections. Therefore, Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition, provides the most cost-effective platform for a SQL Server

You are the administrator of 15 Windows XP Professional portable computers in the sales department of your company. The company network uses DHCP to configure the IP address of the portable computers when the computers are used in the office. Company policy allows the company portable computers to be connected to users home to networks. The sales department reports that users who use home networks that have manually configured IP address are unable to connect the portable computers to their home networks. You want to ensure that users can connect portable computers to their home networks when they are at home and to the company network when they are in the office.
